How Paint Correction Works
- Detailed Wash: The car is thoroughly washed to remove dirt, grime, and environmental fallout.
- Clay Decontamination: A special claying method is used to remove embedded contaminants that washing alone can’t remove.
- Machine Polishing: This is the core of paint correction.
Different grades of polish and buffing pads are used to remove imperfections like scratches, swirl marks, and oxidation.
Types of Paint Defects and Their Correction
- Swirl Marks: These are light scratches caused by improper washing techniques or using harsh cleaning products.
They appear as tiny circular marks. Paint correction can easily remove them. - Random Deep Marring: These are deeper scratches that may require multiple stages of polishing to remove.
- Deep Scratches: These are the most severe type of damage and may require wet sanding followed by polishing to remove them.
- Water Spots and Etching: These are caused by acidic contaminants like bird droppings or hard water. Paint correction can usually remove them, but severe cases may require more aggressive polishing.
- Buffer Marks and Hologramming: These are caused by improper buffing techniques and appear as fine lines or patterns.
They can be removed with careful polishing.
Paint Correction
Benefits of Service
Normal fallout, like everyday dirt and grime, can be easily removed with a simple hand wash. However, prolonged fallout, such as bird droppings left on the paint for an extended period, can etch the surface and cause more serious damage. Paint correction involves a multi-step process to remove both types of fallout. This process typically includes a decontamination wash, clay bar treatment, machine polishing, and applying a protective long lasting nano ceramic coating.
Restored Paint: Removes scratches, swirl marks, and other imperfections.
Enhanced Shine: Brings back the original luster and gloss of your car's paint.
Increased Protection: Prepares the surface for protective nano ceramic coating install
