S3 Auto Recon: Service Details, Policies & Cancellation

Limitation of Liability
S3 Auto Recon will exercise reasonable care and professional skill to improve the condition of your vehicle’s interior and paint during our detailing services. However, S3 Auto Recon will not be held liable for any damages that may arise from the following:

  • Pre-existing damage to your vehicle’s interior or paint, including scratches, dents, cracks, fading, or worn paint/upholstery.
  • Defects in the vehicle’s materials, such as clear coat imperfections, brittleness of plastic components, underlying rust, or worn upholstery fibers.
  • Damage caused by loose or damaged parts on your vehicle.

Unavoidable pre-existing conditions:
Paint Correction: Our detailing process is designed to address imperfections but may not completely remove deeply embedded scratches. During the inspection, we will advise you if scratch repair is necessary to achieve the desired results. Paint correction techniques can significantly improve the appearance of scratches, but complete removal may require wet sanding or filling deeper scratches and paint chips. S3 Auto Recon will use its best efforts to achieve the best possible results based on the condition of your paint.

Interior Cleaning: The detailing process may reveal pre-existing minor imperfections or enhance the visibility of superficial stains already present on the vehicle’s interior surfaces due to regular use. S3 Auto Recon will use appropriate cleaning techniques to minimize the appearance of such imperfections, but some staining or wear may persist.
We recommend you consult with us before the service to assess the extent of correctable imperfections on your vehicle’s interior and paint.

Reconditioning Pricing

The advertised reconditioning prices on our website are based on estimates for vehicles in average condition and serve as a general guideline. The final cost of reconditioning your vehicle can vary depending on several factors, including:

  • Make/Model/Size: Different vehicles require different processes and materials for reconditioning.
  • Condition: The extent of the damage and overall condition of your vehicle will significantly impact the reconditioning process and cost. Here are some examples of conditions that can affect pricing:
    1. Interior: Pet hair or sand embedded in the carpet or  fabric, removal of spills and stains (including food, drinks, kids’ messes, bodily fluids), excessive upholstery wear, deep cleaning neglected interiors.
    2. Exterior: Excessive scratches, dents, paint oxidation, heavy swirl marks, removal of bumper stickers, emblems, tags or decals, deep cleaning neglected exteriors.
    3. Odors: Smoke odor removal, pet odor removal (Note: Mold and mildew removal typically requires separate professional remediation due to health risks and may not be included in our reconditioning services).

    Transparent Communication & Package Verification

    We prioritize clear communication throughout the process:

    • Detailed Inspection: Before commencing any reconditioning work, we will meticulously inspect your vehicle to assess its specific condition.
    • Verifying Package Selection: We will then review the package you’ve chosen and confirm it effectively addresses your vehicle’s needs based on our inspection.
    • Open Discussion and Options: In some cases, the inspection might reveal a unique condition that could benefit from additional services. We will discuss these options with you in detail, explaining the potential benefits and any associated costs before proceeding. You will always have the choice to accept the recommended adjustments or proceed with your originally chosen package.

    Detailed Cost Transparency
    Once we’ve finalized the reconditioning plan, we’ll provide a detailed cost breakdown outlining the services included for your approval. This ensures you’re fully informed about the final cost before we begin any work.

    Unforeseen Reconditioning Needs
    In the rare instance that a truly unforeseen reconditioning need arises during detailing (something not identified during the initial inspection or outside the scope of the chosen package), we will promptly inform you. We’ll explain the situation in detail and discuss options before proceeding, ensuring you’re informed about any adjustments to the cost.

    Appointment Terms & Conditions

    Civility Policy

    Deposits and Cancellations

    All deposits are non-refundable. This policy helps us cover administrative costs associated with scheduling appointments and prevents last min cancelations. Additionally, a canceled appointment represents lost business, as we may not be able to fill the time slot on short notice.

    We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you need to cancel your appointment, we request that you do so within 3 business days of your scheduled service to avoid forfeiting your deposit. Your deposit will remain on your account as a credit until you reschedule within that timeframe. By booking our services you hereby acknowledge and agree to these terms.

    We cannot tolerate behavior disruptive or disrespectful towards our staff. This includes but is not limited to:
     * Verbal abuse or threats
     * Offensive language, gestures or rudeness
     * Unreasonable demands or accusations

     *Unrealistic expectations about the reconditioning process, such as expecting pristine results on a car with significant mess or damage without proper service or package selection

    If a client exhibits such behavior, we reserve the right to refuse service and terminate the appointment and/or the client. This also applies to abandoning any in-person inspection on the day of service. Cancelations for disruptive behavior will automatically forfeit 100% of your deposit.

    Resolving Issues
    If you have any concerns about our reconditioning process or customer service, we want to hear about them. We’ll do our best to work with you directly to find a fair resolution which includes completing any work you paid for that may have been inadvertently missed during your appointment.
